Description

Kind of an experimental one....

In the beginning I was gathering only Ha and OIII data in order to make an HOO image, but decided to shoot around an hour of RGB for the stars.
During processing , and as I had earlier been working on the M51 hydrogen addtion by continuum subtraction (Adam Block Method on Continuum Subtraction), I thought, maybe its worth trying to apply the same method in this case. First, I created an HOO image and extracted the luminance. Then I added to the red and blue channel the Ha and OIII which were priviously ''continuum subtracted'' and used the channel combination in order to create a new color enhanced RGB image. Both Luminance and RGB images where processed and stretched separetly and then combinded into a single LRGB. A few more curves adjustments and unsharp mask led to this final result.

I dont know, probably, one can reach to the same result by playing with the colors just with the HOO and add the RGB stars in the end. Personally, I found its much more easy to manage the different colors in the nebula by blending different amounts of the the continuum subtracted Ha and OIII into the blue and red channels respectively.
